Steve Mosley, CEO
Steve Mosley provides real world experience
in training management, leadership development, talent management and
human capital initiatives. He has worked with all levels of
organizations, from the C-suite to entry level positions. Steve has an
outcomes-based focus in his facilitation, coaching and consulting
practices, designed around helping individuals and organizations get
what they are looking for in increased skills, knowledge or
effectiveness. He has worked in the Financial Services,
Telecommunications, Information Technology and Training industries.
Steve has 32 years of professional experience, with responsibilities
including Sales, Customer Service, Project Management, Training and
Leadership Development. He has helped companies in stages such as
start-up situations, fast growth challenges, mature business and
downsizing. He has extensive experience in Needs Assessment, Design and
Delivery of Training Solutions, Leadership Skills Development,
Performance Assessments and Succession Management.
His most recent experience was in assisting a Fortune 300 company
design and establish a comprehensive Leadership Development program for
3000+ leaders. The program included the introduction of a values based
culture, 360 assessments, professional coaching, development courses
and workshops, and incorporating the values into performance reviews
and succession planning.
Steve received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from
Arkansas State University. He is a member of the Society For Human
Resource Management, and the American Society of Training and
Development. Steve also has various certifications in tools and
practices common in the coaching and training professions.

David
Black, President
David Black joins us after successfully
completing a 5-year commitment with Carlton-Bates Company as Vice
President of Human Resources. David has spent over a decade in the
leadership training arena as well as operating in several fortune 500
companies, holding both tactical and strategic positions.
David is certified in many widely known human assessment tools. He has
trained extensively in leadership development areas including culture
change and interventions, strategic planning, teambuilding, performance
management and executive coaching. During his 30 plus years as a
professional, David has held several leadership positions in fortune
500 companies including WESCO International, Centerpoint Energy Inc.
and Alltel. David believes development should sharpen skills that allow
individuals and organizations to perform better in meeting their
mission and objectives. His approach has always been to help people
understand how to implement new skills and knowledge back on their job.

Steve Dwyer, Partner
Steve Dwyer is a principal in SESI, an
engineering and manufacturing company for customers across the globe,
in both government and commercial applications.
Prior to joining SESI in 2009, Steve was Senior Vice President of
Leadership Development for Alltel, a Fortune 300 wireless
telecommunications provider. Steve was responsible for the strategic
vision of Leadership Development, and implementation of an ongoing
process for the 3000 leaders at Alltel.
Steve came to Alltel after a 30 year career in the United States Army,
from which he retired as a Colonel. Steve served mostly in Army
Aviation. He received his undergraduate degree from West Point, and
earned a Masters of Science in Administration from Central Michigan
University, and a Masters of Science in Strategic Studies from the Air
War College.
Steve was able to marry leadership lessons learned at West Point and in
his Army career to the needs of Alltel, helping to create and sustain a
unique and business-changing leadership program. His association with
Upper Right Leadership brings a unique combination of values, vision
and strategic insight to the capabilities of our company, and our
clients.

Karen Steadman, PhD
Senior Consultant, Master Coach - Karen is
a licensed psychologist who graduated Summa Cum Laude in Industrial and
Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology
and completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of
Georgia. She was on staff as both a psychologist and process
improvement consultant for the Veterans Affairs hospital in Memphis,
TN. She is a faculty member of the Global Institute for Leadership
Development and a committee member for the doctoral program in
applied psychology at Alliant International University. She is
a member of the Alexcel Group and the Southern Center for
International Studies. She regularly presents and has been a member
of the Consulting Psychology Division of APA since 1997.
Additionally, she donates her time to the community as a member of
APA’s Disaster Response Team and as a lead instructor for
Operation Bootcamp.
In 2009, Karen completed a two-part
speaking series in China as part of her work on accelerated leadership
development of Emerging Talent in Emerging Markets. Her case studies
targeting assessment and coaching have been featured in the books, The
Transparency Edge: How Credibility Can Make or Break You in Business
(Pagano & Pagano, McGraw-Hill, October, 2003) and Coaching
Corporate MVP’s (Butteriss, Jossey-Bass, 2008). She works with
executive coaching guru, Marshall Goldsmith, and has published case
studies in Best Practices in Leadership Development and Organization
Change (Lou Carter, David Ulrich, Marshall Goldsmith, 2004). In 2008,
her research on the business impact of a Fortune 500 company,
large-scale leadership program was presented by invitation at The
Conference Board, the Consulting Division of APA and the
research forum of the Institute of Coaching affiliated with McLean
Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Karen’s corporate management
experience is in the telecommunications industry as well as within the
large consulting firm environment. Combining her skills as an applied
psychologist with 20 years of engineering and business experience,
Karen uses an informed approach to optimizing performance. She
leverages her recent success as the coaching practice leader for the
Southeast region for the world’s largest human resources
consulting firm. She managed the Coaching Practice for one of the
Fortune 500 company’s fasting growing and most profitable regions
in the world and served on the International Coaching Center of
Excellence for her assessment and coaching expertise.
